Located along the Sardinian eastern coast on the homonym Gulf, the village of Orosei is about an hour’s drive from Olbia and is 1.5 kilometers away from the beach, which is 12 km long. One way to reach Olbia is by driving to Genoa or Livorno by car and from there taking the ferry. The most comfortable way is booking a cabin on an overnight ferry in order to be able to sleep on the ship and arrive at the port in Olbia relaxed and ready for vacation. :)It is possible to get a discount on the ferry.     Ryanair Ryanair has presented its 2024 season at the airports of Northern Sardinia: it lands in Olbia with ten connections. There will be flights to Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Krakow, London, Paris, and Vienna, and three domestic flights to Bologna, Bergamo, and Trieste. In total, there will be more than 60 flights per week at the Costa Smeralda.

  • Ferries

    It is possible to get a discount on the ferry. To obtain it you have to write an e-mail with your desired travel plans to info@lacalettaviaggi.com telling them that you stay at Holiday Residence Rifugio. They will then send you an e-mail with an offer for your ferry.

turist tax

From April 2022 Orosei started to ask for a turist tax.
The tax is 1 Euro for each day.
Children under the age of 13, do not have to pay the turist tax.

Arrival information

  • Check-In / Check-Out

    Arrival and departure are possible any day of the week.

    Check-in: from 15.00 until 17.45h (prior arrangement ev. also earlier)

    Check-out: 10.00 am or possibly later (prior arrangement). Families with small children will be given priority.

    Please ask us if you’ll be able to take your dog in the apartment you’ve booked. Additional cost € 50,00.

  • Board Treatment

    For the year 2023 we do not offer this service!
    We offer board treatment in cooperation with a Restaurant in the historical centre of Orosei, 700 meters away from our Residence. In order to benefit from this service it must be booked for a minimum of three consecutive days. Guests will be able to enjoy a healthy buffet breakfast for a cost of 9 € a day per person, and half board service (with table service, choosing between three first dishes and three second dishes with contour) for a cost of 27 € per person* a day, and full board for a cost of 41 € per person* a day.

    Youngsters receive special treatment:
    – from 0 up to 2 years old – before birthday: they will pay what they consume only*;
    – from 2 up to 12 years old – before birthday: 50% discount*.

    *Beverages and extra drinks (even for youngsters) are not included in the price.

    IMPORTANT: when booking your stay, please communicate beforehand what typology of board you would like and the exact dates in which you desire to enjoy this service (minimum of 3 consecutive days).

COVID-19 Cancellation Policies

For all those who have booked an apartment but are unable to travel due to Covid-19 restrictions from the governements, we grant a voucher (credit) for the amount already paid. This voucher can be applied to your next booking. Furthermore, we will pay careful attention to heed hygiene protocols so that you can spend your vacation with us safely.

Cancellation Policies

It is possible to cancel your booking  via mail to: info@holiday-residence.net

In case of cancellation the security deposit amount will be returned to the customer. However, we will charge a percentage of the amount of the stay as follows, and an administration fee of € 60.00:

Up to 90 days before 5 % of the stay
From 90 to 60 days before 20 % of the stay
From 60 to 45 days before 50 % of the stay
From 45 to 30 days before 75 % of the stay

If the cancellation is made with less than 30 days’ notice or in case of no-show, we will charge the total amount of the stay. Cancellations must be presented in written form and are valid only after confirmation by the Residence.

In case of early departure the entire stay must be paid for.

For the aforementioned reasons, we strongly suggest you sign an insurance policy to protect yourself against the penalties due for cancelled reservations.
